With the introduction of the new 2024 Mustang, Ford expects substantially fewer sales for the 2023 model.

In preparation for the launch of the new Mustang in the summer of 2023

 it is thereby reducing the number of variants, trims, and features.

As a result, neither a 2023 Shelby GT500 Mustang nor a 2024 version will be made. So, will it return and when, if so?

Offering as many variants as possible would seem to assist preserve sales given that Mustang sales

have been down over the last several years. But it is not conceivable given the circumstances.
